The 10,000 Roses in Cordova Cebu

Cordova is the 3rd class municipality in the province of Cebu. It is a fisherman's town off mainland Cebu's coast and is known for its (booming) popular Tourist Destination Sites, Hotels, and Resorts. Just like most of the towns in the Philippines, Cordova also got its name after a place in Spain which is the“Cordoba”. Cordova is connected by two bridges, the main island of Mactan to mainland Cebu. But in the year 2022, the third bridge was inaugurated, which is the Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) which makes the Cordova already connected to 3 bridges to the mainland. The CCLEX serves as an alternate way to go to Cordova and other destinations nearby, and one of them is the road to Cordova’s popular destination which is the 10,000 Roses.

You probably heard about one of the Cordova’s Famous Attraction which is the 10,000 Roses, right? The 10,000 Roses in Cordova is a Korean-owned cafe. It was inspired by Dongdaemun Plaza in Seoul. The establishment was opened in the year 2017.

As a typical traveler and an employee based in Cebu, we were able to visit this place in January this year to celebrate my birthday. 10,000 Roses in Cordova is a place where you can enjoy the beautiful view of Metro Cebu, the view of the longest sea-crossing bridge in the Philippines, which is the (CCLEX), and of course! the scenic view of Sunset. The place was also known to have a cozy cafe that offers a variety of delicious foodies. One of the dishes we enjoyed was their best seller, sumptuous—Hawaiian Pizza, the Caffe Latte, and two of their best-flavored Fruit—the Watermelon and Mango Smoothies.

10,000 Roses Cordova

Did you know?

10,000 Roses are not real roses, it is a “LED-powered” numerous white roses. Despite being artificial, I love how the owner made it an attractive, engaging, and relaxing place to go to. The atmosphere is unique, it’s a beachside attraction. Imagine yourself eating snacks with your loved ones--inhaling fresh air from the ocean, plus enjoying the vibe of an elegant-styled cafe. (So far, so good!) You can visit this place whether you are traveling solo, or with a group. For a well-known tourist attraction like the 10,000 Roses, you won’t regret spending an entrance fee of just Php20/$0.35 which is budget-friendly compared to other tourist sites you can ever go to. What makes it even more fun is that they also have an acoustic band that performs at their restaurant in the evening.

10,000 Roses in Cordova Cebu is by far one of the fine destinations I have ever gone to. What I love the most about this place is the atmosphere and its views. This place deserves a space on your social media feed! The food was great and the location compliments its lovely ambiance.

How to get there?

If you are still from the Airport or somewhere in Cebu City, you need to commute or book a ride via Grab or Taxi. You also have to consider that the travel time will always depend on how busy the road will be. Usually, it will take 40 minutes to 1 hour if you are still from those mentioned locations. (you’re lucky if you have a personal vehicle, the lesser chance of getting stuck in traffic).

Just a Tip: Set a trip during weekdays and the most perfect time that you should come is in the afternoon, at least 2 hours before the Golden Hour. Trust me dear, you will appreciate the view (more) within that hour. Expect the place may also be overcrowded during the weekend, yet— it’s still worth a visit! and I can assure you, you won’t regret it :)
