The Daily Grind Cafe in Cebu

It’s Coffee time, at The Daily Grind!

We all know that a coffee latte is made up of one or two shots of espresso, milk, and a final, thin layer of frothed milk.

As an ordinary traveler, it’s part of our leisure to find a good lush of coffee or tea wherever we go, may it be in the mountainside or in the City. Also, as a Filipina who works in the corporate world, I can say that I am part of the coffee lovers club! Honestly, coffee is not just an ingredient part of our daily morning routine, but it also has a healthy benefit for our body.

If you’re wondering where to have your first sip of coffee in Cebu City, I highly recommend TDG or The Daily Grind as one of the best restaurants that serve luscious coffee and meals which is located at Pres Roxas St, Kasambagan. I think that this place deserves a spot on your social media feed! The Daily Grind has a dose of nature ambiance which makes the place so relaxing. Aside from their delicious coffee, they also serve different kinds of breakfast meals, pasta, burgers, etc. Ughh… it’s like, who would have thought? this has been one of my favorite go-to’s when I have my free time, chill with friends, or just want to have my working space for a day. Well, speaking of workspace”, the daily grind also has a strong Internet Connection (Wifi) you can enjoy the rest of the day!

As you can see in the above images, I captured some of my favorite foodies at The Daily Grind during rest days. Featuring their Creamy Carbonara, and their Coffee Latte.

What I also love about The Daily Grind cafe is its employees. They are friendly and polite when assisting their customers. It made me look back at the time when I was still working in the Hospitality Industry, I can imagine the pressure of handling or dealing with different personalities and cultures just to meet the customer’s needs and satisfaction. It’s not an easy job, but if you love what you are doing, at the end of the day, it’s SATISFYING.

One of my favorite menus of The Daily Grind is their “Silog” type of Breakfast. Silog in the Philippines is a portmanteau of the dish's three components--like what I ordered: Buffalo (chicken), Sinangag (garlic fried rice), and Itlog (fried egg) with a bonus of side dish which will cost you only (Php180 / $3). And, if you are the type of person who does not like coffee, juice, or canned drinks, no worries because they serve purified water for FREE.

How to Get There?

If you are from the Airport, you have 2 easy options to get to The Daily Grind Cafe. Either, you will ride a Taxi (Grab) or Motorbike (Angkas Or Move It). By any means of transportation, if you are still from the airport, you will arrive at the destination in 30-50 minutes (depending on how busy the road will be/Traffic.) But, if you are just lurking around the City and you just want to hop in a cafe with some good coffee, it will only take you 8-15mins to get there.
